Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise was an American actor, singer and writer, best known for her role as Ginger Grant from the TV show Gilligan's Island. In the 1950s she began her professional career as an actor on stage for Bettle Davis' musical Two's Company. Following that, she performed on Broadway for a number of shows until the year 1957, in which Li'l abner was huge at the National Theater. In the same year, she made her debut album of music It's time for Tina. Louise made her foray into Hollywood as Griselda Walden in God's little Acre, a film about drama that was released in 1958.The film was praised widely and Louise won an award called the Golden Globe Award in the New Star of the Year category. During this time she joined the Actors Studio in New York and began a relationship to Lee Strasberg as his student. Another notable character she portrayed in the role of Ginger Grant, which CBS was the first to sign her on for in 1964. Louise continued to juggle her work with ease in between Broadway television and Hollywood playing somber characters contrasted to her perception of an attractive model. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. The SG-1 series and Sanctuary but she also established herself as an effective television director in numerous series, including Supernatural as well as The 100. Born in Essex in Ontario on the 28th August 1965, her family moved to Toronto around the age of three. The city was her home for the duration of her childhood there as well as her adolescence. After being chosen for the role as Samantha Carter, she moved to Vancouver in 1997, and was there ever since.
