Pickler, who was born Kellie Dawn Pickler in June of 1986, experienced an unhappy childhood. She was just two when her mother left her to get away from the abusive marriage. In 1995, she was returned to Pickler's world and gained the custody rights. But it didn't go well. At the age of 12, Pickler was twelve, the court sent her to her maternal grandparents which raised her to adulthood. Pickler needed to look after of her kids without parents. The mother of three confessed to her that in absence of parents, Pickler's schedule was so busy that she could not go to school. She instead began to teach herself how to take care of her family at an earlier stage. Pickler was on her middle school and high school's cheerleading team. North Stanly High School in 2004.
