Lisa Olivia Munn was conceived in Oklahoma City. Her mother, Kimberly Schmid, lived in Vietnam and has Chinese heritage, while her dad, Winston Barrett Munn, is from a family with strong roots within the American South. Olivia was only 2 when her parents split up. Her family consisted of both her mother and stepfather who was also a United States Air Force member. While the family lived all over, her main residence was Tokyo, Japan. At the time, she was involved in many shows in the area as well as becoming a Japanese fashion model. Olivia moved from Japan to Los Angeles when her family had came back home to her home in the United States to follow her dream to be an actress. After a few minor parts, Olivia landed a role when she got the role as Mily Acua on the Hawaii filmed TV show Beyond the Break 2006 and as the receptionist of Rob Schneider. She hosts the popular podcasts "Formula D", "The Daily Nut" along with "The Daily Nut". Since the 2006 television show Beyond the Break, she has continued to surf. She also holds an unofficial black belt in Taekwondo. In the year 2000, at the age of two, of age, her mom was married again. Her family was primarily from Tokyo, Japan where her stepfather was a member. She completed her journalism studies at the University of Oklahoma and also majored in Japanese drama, dramatic arts, and drama.
