Luciana Paoluzzi grew up in Rome and was raised in Rome by her parents. Her father was Manlio Paoluzzi, who was an Italian officer of the army. Maria Rota Paoluzzi was one of the mistresses of Benito Mussolini. There is no information about her having siblings. Luciana was a student at a local high school prior to matriculating at the Scientific Academy of Milan in 1955. Luciana was one of the only women in the class. Following two years of modeling, she got an appearance in Three Coins in the Fountain. It was her first role. Brett Halsey - an actor who was her first partner. Following the wedding, in 1960 they produced a film together called Return to the Peyton Palace. Luciana was granted custody following the divorce. They had a baby boy named Charles who was born in June of 1961. Luciana had a long-term relationship with Tony Athony who was an actor and film producer. Tony was influenced by the character of Luciana as Green Slime in Green Slime to create the Spaghetti Western.
